AFE4300: AFE4300 ESD support

Hello TI Team,

I need support about ESD protection for AFE4300. At moment the input stage of measuring pins has additional ESD diode to protect the IC. During the ESD compliance tests When we applied more than +/-3 KV to the electrode the respective pin of AFE4300 is damaged . The input impedence of AFE4300 PIN becomes too low (100 ohm ) and if I try to take a measure it is completely wrong. ESD diode after ESD applied is not damaged so I really don't understand what happens.

Probably clamping or breakdown voltage of ESD diode are too high compared to the tollerance AFE4300 pin but I am not sure about that.

Do you have any advice or suggestion? Should ESD diode have different characteristics than ESD7361HT1G? I choiced it due to low capacitie.

Below you can see the electrical schematic of input stage ( compents and their value) .

• L1 ferrite→ WURTH 742792041
• R1/C1→ 10 KΩ / 4.7μF
• D1 ESD diode → ESD7361HT1G

Hi,
thank you for your reply. Indeed my question is about the AFE4300 . Can the pins support voltage 16 Volt for a short time as tens microseconds? Could it be this the reason of input port AFE4300 damaged during ESD discharge?

I understand your team deals with different stuff but about TVS diode I have few questions and one request

Why do you suggest to me the TVS diode part number TPD1E01B04? Is there a tecnhical reason or it is the IC used in evaluation board of AFE4300?
Can you share my question about ESD to the TVS diode department or give me a contact in order to write?
