AMC3336: PDM to PCM for AMC3336 w AMC1210

Looks like a PCM1862 can also decode a PDM signal and has decimation filters onboard the pga. This may also be an option. Anyone have any experience with this combo?

Alternatively an AMC3330 and a PCM1862 w the analog mic input may work too.

Welcome to our e2e forum!  For the original question, no - the AMC1210 cannot output an I2S formatted signal.  The PCM1862 might work, but there is not going to be any left or right channel detail in the bit-stream output from the AMC3336.

I don't see how you would be able to extract left / right data.  The AMC3336 is going to output a single bit for each clock cycle while the DMICs would combine their data into a single stream using both clock edges to distinguish L from R

Sorry for combining the AMC3336 and AMC3330 in the same issue and creating confusion.

I was alternatively looking at using two AMC3330's, which can generate dual AC outputs. Using a PCM1862 to read the two independent differential outputs I should be able to theoretically create the I2S stream?
