Hello team,
My customer is considering to use ADC3562 with LVDS output to FPGA via FFC (Flexible Flat Cable).
Customer is going to use ADC3562 with 10MSPS, so datarate would be 160MHz with single lane, 80MHz with dual lane.
However, the customer has never done such high speed LVDS design with FFC, so they would like to refer to our example design.
On the ADC3662EVM, the LVDS output is connected to Caputure Card via inposer board (PCB).
Is there any reference design of ADC3xxx ouput connection via cables?
If not, is there any reference design (cable connection) with similar LVDS speed?
Best Regards,
Kei Kuwahara
Hi Kei,
There is no reference design which connects directly via FFC. Our suggestion is that the customer design a simple interposer/adapter board (using FR4-370 material) to adapt from the Samtec FMC connector our EVM uses to the appropriate FFC which they are planning to use.
Thanks, Chase
