Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA227, , OPA827, OPA828
Data sheet recommends using OPA227 with the DAC8820 due to its low input offset voltage (+/-5uV). However, OPA227 slew rate (2.3V/usec) is too slow . I have searched for op-amps to use with the DAC8820 with low input offset voltage AND high slew rate (200V/usec or greater). There is nothing close to the OPA227 +/-5uV spec.
I am looking to output a voltage from the DAC & opamp with 800nsec total delay to settling within 1%, with the output range of 0 to +10v (hence the high slew rate). After the DAC's output settling time, I have approx. 100nsec allocated to the slew rate to get from 0V to 10V (therefore slew rate should be > 100V/usec).
If this op-amp specs combination is not possible, can you please point me to the impact of a high input offset voltage (and other relevant specs of the op-amp input) so that I can determine how these will affect my DAC-to-analog voltage fidelity?
Thanks.
