AFE5818EVM: capturing data from multiple EVM boards

Hi, is it possible to capture data from multiple AFE5818EVM ADCs simultaneously using the same TSW1400EVM capture board? Or would I need one TSW1400 per AFE5818EVM? I asked this question to customer support previously but I don't think my question was understood before the case was closed. I am developing a multichannel receiver system and I want to know what my options are.

    Thank you for reaching out and apologies for the delay in response due to multiple holidays last week in India.

    The data capture solution with AFE5818 EVM and TSW1400 only supports 1 AFE (1 EVM) both in terms of hardware as well as software. 

    The hardware connections from AFE5818s LVDS outputs only connects to some pins on the FMC connector. The FPGA firmware is also designed for the capture of only 16 LVDS lanes. As such, you cannot directly use multiple AFEs to connect with TSW1400 EVM. I am not sure how much worthwhile it is to modify the existing solution to cater to multiple AFEs.

    Most of our customers also don't go by this route of using TSW1400, instead they usually develop their own custom board with multiple AFEs and develop their own capture solution with a FPGA. 

    If you are interested in developing a custom board, we can support in terms of review of schematic and layout. On the firmware side, we do not have much expertise, hence we can only provide limited support there.
