Hi,
In AFE5801, Is there any provision to use only one channel and disable other channels to avoid the current consumption?
Thank You,
Shilpa

Hi Shilpa,
Yes. Use PDN_CHANNEL<7:0> and PDN_LVDS<7:0> to disable the required channels and save power.
Thanks,

Hi Shilpa,
You can use the below table from the datasheet for an approximate estimate.
Eq (1): Total power (power up) = Per-channel-power (power-up) * 8+ Common-power (power-up) = 522 mW
Eq (2): Total power (power down) = Per-channel-power (power-down) * 8 + Common-power (power-down) = 8 mW
Eq (3): Assume Common-power is negligible
Then, Total power (1-ch power up + 7-ch power-down) = Per-channel-power (power-up) + Per-channel-power (power-down) * 7 = 73 mW
With some margin, you can assume 75-100 mW for 1-ch power up mode. For more accurate estimation, I recommend to procure AFE5801EVM and conduct these measurements.
Thanks,
Karthik
