DAC8811: Power-on reset

Part Number: DAC8811

Hello team,

I have a question regarding to the power on reset. Could you please tell me the conditions under which this device will power-on reset? I couldn't figure it out by reading the datasheet...

Regards,

Masa

  • Hi Masa-san,

When the device is powering on from 0V, the device will enter the reset state at ~1.2V-1.6V and this is where the POR occurs. The device is held in this reset state until the supply reaches the minimum supply voltage. Another POR will not occur unless the supply is dropped back below the ~1.2V-1.6V range. This value is not specified, and varies over process and temperature, so we don't have an exact value to share. It would be safest to completely power cycle the device to ensure the POR occurs.
