DAC60096: Where can I find the TI DAC60096EVM GUI installer?

The DAC60096EVM user guide references the graphical user interface software. However I can't find a product page on TI's EVM product folder. Can you please provide a link to the GUI and other design files including the schematic for the EVM?

    Hi Milad,

    The folder that contains the EVM software is down currently. See if you can download this EXE file, it should contain the EVM GUI. The EVM user's guide contains schematic pictures for the EVM.

    After installing the software, I'm still unable to run the program. This is a similar issue to what I saw in another post where the GUI doesn't load. I did try the fixes suggested in that thread, but none seem to work. The problem appears to be related to the 2012 LABVIEW run time engine which is not supported under Windows 10. 

    Do you have any suggestions/ workarounds? I can write my own script, if you have a list of instructions for addressing/ controlling the evaluation module via SDM-USB-DIG. 
    To this end, I was able to install the driver for the DIG module successfully, and it does show up in my terminal program (i.e. putty)

    Hi Milad,

    Here's what I did to get the program to load:
    First, go to the file location for this GUI. Default should be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\DAC60096 EVM

    Go to the "Documents" Folder

    You should see a word doc called README.docx. Open that. Click on the link in the document and go through the unzipping and installation process. This should get the 2012 Labview runtime on your PC.

    I have Windows 10 on my PC, and after downloading the exe the DAC60096 GUI was able to load.

    I managed to get the GUI installed properly using your instructions on a different PC. However, I am still experiencing an issue with the SDM-USB-DIG, where the second LED does not turn on and the GUI opens in the demo board. 

    Here is what I've tried so far:

    - I verified that the DIG shows up as a TI device in the device manager.

    - I installed AMC7836EVM as suggested in another thread. LED2 remains off when I run this GUI as well. 

    - I verified that there is no clock signal on the SPI bus when I send a write or read command. 

    Do you have any other suggestions for me? Is it possible that my SDM-USB-DIG is defective?

    Hi Milad,

    You can find the user's guide for the SDM USB DIG here: SDM-USB-DIG Platform (ti.com)

    LED2 being off means there's either a hardware issue or the SDM USB DIG isn't connecting properly to the software. When you open the AMC7836EVM GUI, does this start in Demo Mode as well? If the SDM USB DIG is connected correctly and working, it should start in Connected Mode. 

    I haven't used the SDM DIG myself, so I will have to spend some time with it to figure out what is going on.
