  • Hi someya,

Welcome to our e2e forum.  We need you to post your queries in English.

  • Due to the absolute maximum ratings of this product, the input voltage range of the INP and INN pins is HGND-6[V]~HLDO_OUT+0.5[V].

If voltage is applied between the INP and INN pins before the AMC3336 is powered on, will the components be damaged?

On page 20 of the data sheet, it is stated that the ESD guidelines will be turned on if the absolute maximum rating input range is exceeded.

In this case, is it correct to understand that there will be no damage to the components even if the input range of the absolute maximum ratings is exceeded as long as the current limit other than ESD is below?

  • Hi someya,

The ABS MAX values in the AMC3336-Q1 datasheet should not be exceeded or you could permanently damage the AMC3336.  Limiting the current to less than 10mA can reduce the likelihood of immediate damage to the device.  If there will be routine over voltage situations, you should use external protection diodes on the inputs.
