AFE5808: Question about AFE5808 CW mode and IQ phase consistency issues

Part Number: AFE5808

Hi team,

Our customer is using AFE5808 in their project and debugging on analog CW function, but they found when using signal source to feed to multiple AFE5808, after analog CW focus(16X mode), the input signal IQ symmetry will become worse, for example, the input signals are all in phase as same source, but after demod focus, the signal phase will be different. Can you help to check if this is related to AFE demod block issue?

If customer sets all channel phase delay to same value, the out of phase performance will be optimized within 0.5~1 degree.

Customer' setting is as below:

Demodulator local oscillator frequency 2.5MHz, demod frequency is 1kHz.

Thanks.

  • Hi,

Can you please clarify below statement? Inputs to the AFE are 16x clock and signal and input to the LNA. So when they set fed same phase then which input signal IQ symmetry is becoming worse? It will be helpful if you can share some measured data.

    Thanks!
