DAC7574: DAC7574IDGS

Part Number: DAC7574

Hi team,

we using the below given design for our new one as refernce, here the voltage margining is done with the help of DAC7574,i want to know how the desgin got the value as 154k(R2G13) In place of RDAC.i used the volage margining calculator provided by TI and i got different value for the RDAC.

  • Hello,

It is acceptable to use different values for RDAC depending on the intended output range of the power supply and output range of the DAC. The calculator may be giving a value based on a different output range of either the DAC, the power supply or both. It's hard to know without having that information for the schematic.

It looks like the the nominal output voltage is 1.084V based on the values chosen for R1 and R2 which matches the equation shown in the schematic. I will assume the output range of the DAC is 0 to 1.8V. Based on the 154k RDAC:

VOUT,high will be 2.11V when VDAC is 0V.

VOUT,low will be 1.42V when VDAC is 1.8V.

    Best,

    Katlynne
