AMC1306M25: Firmware change requirement for replacing AMC1305M25 with AMC1306M25

Part Number: AMC1306M25
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1305M25,

I'm planning to replace AMC1305M25 with AMC1306M25.

Both are somewhat similar but AMC1305M25 outputs data in falling edge where as AMC1306M25 outputs data in rising edge.

I have replaced the AMC1305M25 with AMC1306M25 but have not changed the firmware. Does using old firmware without sampling clock phase inversion  have any impact on my accuracy of measurement?

  • Hi Nithin,

Changing the firmware will likely be necessary to maintain the setup and hold timing requirements of the SDFM in the controller.

However, some controller's do not have the capability to change which clock edge the data is sampled on in which case generating an additional, phase inverted clock using a GPIO pin may be necessary.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.
