ADS1299-4: Is there any way to detect the current direction change timing accurately?

Part Number: ADS1299-4

One of my customers uses ADS1299-4 for their medical equipment at this moment.

They have the following question about AC lead-off detection timing.
Could you please give me your reply?

Q.
INP/INN terminal current direction (sink/source) are changed each other every 64ms when AC Lead-Off (periodic) function is running with 7.8Hz.
They want to detect this current direction change timing accurately.
They know it can be achieved to read INP/INN terminal voltage. But they are looking for another way.

Is there any way to detect the current direction change timing accurately except terminal voltage measurement?.
Can any input/output signal of ADS1299-4 be used for the timing detection?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Kazuya.
