ADC128S102-SEP: ADC-Mux channel testing is it required to test all channel

Part Number: ADC128S102-SEP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC128S102

if my ADC have 6 channel with mux , if i confirm any one of the channel dnl & snr is fine. i can say remaining  channel also similar behaviors ?

  • Hi Ramkumar,

Thanks for your question. All the channels should have similar performance.

  • Thanks Samiha

    i have one more Question

    1. Kindly let us know to verify the ADC128S102, if any one of the channel is tested on ADC128S128 is fine or is it really require to test all the channels functional parameters as per data sheet ?can TI guarantee the functional performance of other channels if one channel alone verified?

    1. How all the eight channels can be enabled at the same time if the MUX can allow one channel for conversion? In default IN0 channel is connected to MUX, Does ADC128S102 really require to verify the functionality of MUX before giving it to end user?
  • Hi Ramkumar,

    1. Testing one channel may be sufficient.
    2. Good question! "Enabled" here refers to how many channels are being sampled during continuous conversion mode. Verifying MUX operation is really up to you. Even if only IN0 is being used, the input signal will still go through the integrated MUX.

    Best,

    Samiha
