Digipot development board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC43701

I am looking for a Digipot development board.

I need a Digipot that has a min of 2K-3k max resistance. It would be good to have a resolution that could go down to a step of 1-5 Ohms if possible. I also need 10 outputs !

Does your suggested solution connect into the PC via USB and offer some sort of software program  to control the Digipot ? Also is there some sort of e.g. software \ drivers that we could use to help us develop our own software to control the Digipot development board ?

  • Hello,

Our smallest digipots have a resistance of 10k with 256 tap points. So the step size of 1-5ohms would not be possible. We also only have one or two channel devices, so you would need to use multiple devices to get 10 outputs.

You can view our digipot options here:

  • Dear Katlynne,

    Thank you for your reply.

Do these digipots comes with development boards ? Is there some software that goes with it ?

If not do you have any other possible solutions ?

    Bets regards

  • Hello,

most of our digipots have EVM (evaluation module) which is a board designed for testing. If the device has such board, it would be under "Design and Development" section on the product page. It will also include instructions on all applicable software.

may I ask you what is the use-case for the digipot? Would it be for setting up some sort of biasing point? If so, if you cannot find a suitable digipot, you might be able to substitute it with our smart DAC device portfolio (DAC43701 as an example).

    Thank you,
