Hello everybody!

In our projects we are using the LMH0397, LMH1228, LMH1218 and LMH1219 chips.
We would like to know if these devices support the following signal delivery standards:

SDI Video Sampling
4:2:2 and 4:4:4.

SDI Audio Sampling
Standard television sampling rate of 48 kHz and 24 bits.

SDI Color Accuracy
4:2:2 and 4:4:4.

SDI Color Space
YUV and RGB

Color Space
REC 601, REC 709, REC 2020.

If there is any impediment, what does Texas suggest we use?

Hi Marcel,

LMH devices you mentioned all are video SDI framing agnostic. As long as we use SDI data rate, we should be able to equalize and re-clock these different video frames you have mentioned. Typically - using FPGA or ASIC - these different video frames are wrapped around with SDI frames and sent through our part to the 75-ohm coax media. These devices mainly do physical layer or layer 0 or the overall protocol.

Hi Nasser

We would like to know if Texas chips, capable of running Linux, could support the color standard libraries that I mentioned in the initial message so that we can develop our equipment.

Still regarding these chips, does Texas have a version of Linux suitable for these chips or can we use the Yocto Project to customize Linux?

Do you have any chip models to recommend?

If you can also recommend a development kit based on the chip that will eventually be nominated, we would appreciate your suggestion.

Hi Marcelo,

These TI devices are layer 0 physical devices. They can be controlled through pins or I2C interfaces. Typically these are set at power up only. Therefor we do not have a driver such as Linux or a dll to control these parts.

Also, on product folder you can order or request evaluation board for actual evaluation.

Sorry, I don't think I was very clear in the message I sent.

I was referring to ARM microcontrollers with a core capable of running an embedded Linux operating system.

My question is if you would recommend an ARM microcontroller capable of running an embedded Linux system so that we could install the libraries of the standards mentioned in my first message and develop our products.

Based on this, I asked you about the development kit for this supposed microcontroller that you (Texas) would recommend.

Sorry i am on the signal conditioning side and am not familiar with microcontrollers with linux os. I was able to search and came across the following link:
