Dear TI experts,

I heard that TLV2556 is going to EOL, and recommended replacement part is ADS7592. But it needs changing layout.

So my customer wants to use TLV2556-EP alternatively.

Could you specify the differernce between TLV2556 and TLV2556-EP?

It just says that TLV2556-EP is enhanced(Hi-Rel) product. Could you give me more specific parameters to compare?

Hi Chase,

There are differences in the assembly & test flow, the functionality of the devices is almost the same. However, the TLV2556-EP device is not a viable alternative to the TLV2556.

Please work with the customer to get their LTB order in for the TLV2556. We recommend the customer start moving over to the ADS7592.

Could you tell me more why TLV2556-EP is not a viable alternative to the TLV2556?

It looks like have same function compared to TLV2556. Is there any other reason except the function?

There will be very limited availability into the future and it will see price increases.
