ADS8684: DVDD current consumption

Genius 16010 points
Part Number: ADS8684

Hello,

My customer would like to know ADS8684 DVDD current with 17MHz SCLK (max SCLK freqeuncy) condition.
The below is from the datasheet. What SCLK frequency is used for this measuerement?
It says "output=0000h". Does it mean the conversion data is always 0000h?
Does the converted value difference have so much impact for the DVDD current?

Regards,
Oba

  • Hello Obata-san,

The output code is fixed to 0000h for the dynamic DVDD noise measurement, which is accomplished by providing a 0 V differential input to the ADC (i.e. input-short to GND). As the output code increases to includes more 1b values, the DVDD current will increase slightly. Most likely, this measurement was taken with the maximum SCLK as the Electrical Characteristics conditions specify the data rate as 500 kSPS (32 bits at 500 kSPS = 16 MHz, but faster is required for timing delays).

    Regards,

    Ryan
