Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC60504
My customer is interested in comparing the output response of this part with the DAC60504. Can you share the freq response plots for both?

Hi Lauren,
We do not take these types of plots for our DACs as the output frequency response is limited by the update rate of the DAC and the settling time, not the BW of the output buffer. Can you share more info about what the customer is using the DAC for?

Katlynne,
Taking into account the update rate of the DAC, what is the maximum bandwidth for each part?
In other words, what is the maximum frequency they can represent a signal over SPI and see it represented in the analog domain? For the data, assume it is a sine wave. He is looking for the frequency where the attenuation is less than 3 dB (or greater than -3dB).
Thanks,
Lauren
Hi Lauren,
This is also going to depend on the number of points they want to represent in the sine wave.
The answer is the same for both devices as they both have a max 50MHz SPI clock and each DAC update requires 24 clocks. This is an update rate of ~2.083MSPS. If you were to use 24 points to create the sine wave you'd divide the update rate by 24 which gives a max frequency of ~87kHz. This is also only considering a single channel. If all channels need to be updated you would dived this by 4.

Katlynne Jones
