This application typically requires an ADC or comparator with a speed higher than what is offered in Precision ADCs. Per the article that Jiyah posted, we recommend using a high-speed comparator for ToF systems if distance is your only concern.

Our portfolio has several comparators with low dispersion and narrow pulse width detection. For an LVDS output option, the TLV3801 has a typical 15ps overdrive dispersion and is capable of detecting pulse widths of 240ps. The TLV3604 is also an LVDS output device with a typical 350ps overdrive dispersion and 600ps pulse width capabilities.

For a push-pull output option, the TLV3601 has a typical 600ps overdrive dispersion and is capable of detecting pulse widths of 1.25ns.
