TX7332: When using twoTX7332 in pulse recieve mode, what is the correct way to switch the TR_enable?

Part Number: TX7332

I have two TX7332 connected to an AFE, sharing channels.
I want to pulse on one TX7332, but switch off the TR_Enable for the duration of the acquisition.
Similarly on the 2nd TX7332, I want to switch on the TR_Enable for the duration.
What is the correct way to switch off the TR_Enable?

For the transmitting channel, do I extend the Period to be off for the whole acquisition duration?
This appears to be very contrived......

For the receiving channel, this is not a problem: I set up the Period registers as per normal, with level registers at 0V.
If this is incorrect, please let me know.

  • Hi,

If I understood your problem clearly, you have 2 TX7332 channels connected to the same AFE input and want to selectively use only 1 depending on which channel is transmitting. To do this, you can write the TR_SW_DIS_* = 1, where * is the channel whose T/R switch you want to keep Off. This bit ensures that the T/R switch remains Off even if the channels is not transmitting.

    Thanks and Regards
