DAC80508: Land Pattern / Layout Example question.

Question about the datasheet:

The WDFN land pattern shows 0.8mm center pad.

However the Figure 80, QFN Layout Example, shows a large center pad with 5 vias fitted into it. Is it recommended to put extra copper around the pad, and if yes, why not put it in the land pattern?

    Hi Mike,

    The layout in Figure 80 is incorrect. The QFN device only has 1 small via in the center of the pad, as shown in the land pattern. You can disregard the incorrect pad in the layout example. I'll bring this up with our systems engineers to see if they can fix the datasheet.
