DAC1220: output value

Part Number: DAC1220

Hi team,

Could you tell the output value of DAC durign three conditions below?

1. After powerup, before startup

2. during startup

3. during calibration

Regards,

Noriyuki Takahashi

  • 1. At startup (when the supplies are still ramping) it is possible to see some low-amplitude glitch on the output, but likely <100mV.

    2. Once the device is fully powered, the output will be at approximately 0V, and the data register is at 0x0000

    3. The output during calibration depends on the status of CALPIN.  If CALPIN =0, then the output is disconnected from the DAC during calibration.  In that case, the output will look like a capacitor output with the potential of of the DAC before the disconnect.

If CALPIN = 1, then the output might change during calibration.  If it recall, the output will be approximately full-scale during calibration.

    Thanks,

    Paul
