AFE5812: Difference from AFE5809?

Part Number: AFE5812
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE5809,

Tool/software:

Trying to find out the differences between the AFE5809 and AFE5812. I see the '5812 has slightly different LNA gains and AAF corners, but is there anything else? Block diagrams are the same other than the issues just mentioned. Also, why is the AFE5809 datasheet 110 pages long, while the AFE5812 only 6 pages? Why isn't the '5812 datasheet longer?

  • Hi,

One major difference is LNA supply. In AFE5809, LNA is working on 3.3V while in AFE5812, it works on 5V supply. Hence power consumption of the device is higher. Since LNA is working on 5V, it offers better overload recovery performance. To access AFE5812 datasheet, please reach out to mail id support_us_afe_tx@list.ti.com as it falls under NDA restriction.

    Thanks!

    Regards,
