Part Number: DAC38RF84
Tool/software:
We are experiencing problems with RFDAC DAC38RF84IAAV which is used in conjunction with Clock Jitter Cleaner LMK04828SNKDTEP. The problem is after a few hours operating at an elevated temperature the “normal” spectrum we were getting changes to a “faulty” multicarrier spectrum.
The internal housekeeping telemetry provided by the RFDAC DOES NOT show an alarm. Also on one unit we are not bale to initialize the RFDAC when it gets into this conditions as the MULTIDUC_CFG1 register is not initializing properly.
We are concerned of potential soldering issues. All these problems are originated at high temperature. What could be the root cause? Is it possible to point to an area or RFDAC/LMK pin to investigate further? Is it also possible to indicate any register that could indicate a problem that is not captured by the alar?
Do you know what could cause register 0x0A to be the wrong value? After reset the value should be 0x280. We configure it as 0x8410, but after readback of this register has the value 0x0001. There are no other registers with invalid states.
