Hi team,

we check some E2E thread about the ADS1118 use case of hot electric puppet . like TIPD109 for one channel with K-type.

Now customer have 4channels J-type demand, would you help to share how we can use one ADS1118 to detect 4channels? any Mux is recommended?

Hi Allen,

To read 4 different thermocouples, you would need to use 2 separate ADS1118's, or use an external MUX to interface them to a single ADS1118.

Alternatively, you could use a different device such as ADS114S08 which has a higher input pin count to allow for more channels to read 4 thermocouples with a single device.
