AMC1336: bandwidth of AMC1336 if use 20MHz sampling rate

Part Number: AMC1336

Tool/software:

Hi, Dear product line application engineer

one thing need consult: what is bandwidth of AMC1336 if I use 20MHz sampling rate. thanks.

regard,

Bill

  • Hi Bill,

Who is your customer and what is their application?

The bandwidth of the device will be dependent on the digital filtering used on the modulator data output.

What is the signal range that is being measured?

In the datasheet there are typical characteristic plots for a clock frequency of 20MHz and using a sinc3 filter with an OSR of 256.

    Thanks.

  • hi, Ahmad

    thanks for supporting.

I preliminary create a solutions for ultrasonic scalpel application for one of AA customer. I want to propose AMC1336 to monitor high voltage that driver the ultrasonic blade. the frequency potential can high to 60KHz from 22KHz. So, I want to know the input banwidth of AMC1336.

    regards,

    Bill

  • Hi Bill,

Both our modulators and amplifier should be able to measure signals in that range.  The amplifiers' bandwidth is typically around 300kHz, but the modulators can go higher with some accuracy/latency tradeoffs.  You can take a look at this app note for more details into amplifier vs modulator comparisons.

    Thanks.
