ADS131M04: Regarding ADC for Bridge application

Tool/software:

I am inquiring as follow,

1. I was planning to use ADS131M04 ADC for data processing under following condition and picture.

       - RTD PT100 6ch, Wheatstone bridge circuit

       - 4~20mA 4ch

I referred to the 'A Basic Guide to Bridge Measurements' section in the 'Technical documentation' for the design. however, i saw comments by Bryan and would like to understand the specific reason behind his comments.

2. Can you suggest a low-cost part that can be implemented for this purpose?

    Hi Bobby,

    I apologized for the late response. Bryan already mentioned the reasons why ADS131M0x ADC is not recommended for bridge application in the post you highlighted. In order to cover bridge and RTD temperature measurement, ADS1260/ADS1261 is the best device which has integrated IDAC current sources required by RTD temperature measurement. Another alternative device is ADS124S08.
