DAC8554: Is it okay to tie Pins "nENABLE" and "nSYNC" together?

Hi there

Is it okay to tie the mentioned pins together?

Thus the DAC only listens to incoming data when nSYNC is tied low (like a Chip-Enable) and ignores traffic when nSYNC is HIGH.

Do you see any problems with this approach?

Hi Sandro,

It would be best to tie enable to ground. Users have seen issues with tying these pins together. It's likely that when the enable pin is disabling the SPI port, the SYNC timing requirements are not able to be met and the DAC does not respond to commands.
