ADS9219EVM: SYNC with TSWDC155EVM and GUI question

Part Number: ADS9219EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSWDC155EVM

Tool/software:

Hi,

I'm looking at the ADS9219EVM and TSWDC155EVM with the GUI (CGui_ADS92xx_EVM_GUI) and I have two questions:

(1) Is the FPGA_SMPL_SYNC generated by the GUI (FPGA)?  I do not see any options in the GUI to enable/disable the SYNC?  I want it enabled, could be disabled using jumper (JP4).

(2) There seems to be a problem with the display of left side Controls panel (see screen grab below),

where some of the controls are not fully visible, some sort of sizing problem (the inner box does not follow the controls panel).  The GUI is installed on a Win11 machine.

Any ideas on how to fix this?  Missing fonts?  Change screen resolution (I'm using 3840x2160, 200%).

Thanks you,

Sven.

  • Hello Sven,

    Thank you for your question

    1. Correct, the FPGA internally provides the SYNC signal. It doesn't have to be enabled, when using averaging it will be enabled internally as long as a jumper on J4 in the [2:3] position is populated.
      1. To disable or provide an external SYNC signal the jumper on J4 needs to be removed or populated on the [1:2] position respectively.
    2. Unfortunately, there is not a direct solution for this, the EVM GUI is set to work with a 100% screen resolution scaling
      1. I attempted this on my end if I scale it to >100% it appears like the picture shared.
      2. Could you please check to see if this would work?
        1. If so would this be an acceptable solution? I will look internally to see if there is another option for post adjustment available.

    Best regards,

    Yolanda
