DAC39RF10: Alternative with DC-Coupled Out

Part Number: DAC39RF10

Tool/software:

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

In line with the E2E thread below:

DAC39RF10EVM: Output Not As Expected

1. Are there no high-frequency output eval boards for this chip with a DC-coupled configuration? Ideally, we would keep at or near 20GSPS (~10GHz) as with the TI DAC39 RF10?

2. While we search for a possible alternative part and consider making the board alterations, we are also pursuing a (possibly) temporary strategy of using a higher central output tone to mix the bit stream onto (so that it makes it through the high pass filter). However, in order to demodulate the resultant signal, we need to access to a copy of the trigger. With our current understanding, there is supposed to be a sync signal after every repetition of the bit pattern, but we are not observing this in the lab. How can we extract a trigger from or input a trigger to the board?

Regards,
