ADS125H02: About the auto-zero mode

Part Number: ADS125H02

Tool/software:

Hi team,

The auto-zero function cancels the offset by averaging two pieces of data.
My understanding is that the first one is output after a delay of 2 data.
Therefore, is it my understanding that after the second time, the data is output as per the set output rate?
(Note: Assuming use in continuous output mode)

Regards,
Ryu.

  • Hello Ryu,

Yes, your understanding is correct.  However, the actual data rate is now the inverse of the latency.  Per the datasheet, when using auto-zero with FIR and 20sps data rate setting, the new data rate will be 1/Latency, or 1/52.22ms=19.15sps.  Also, in auto-zero with FIR and 20sps setting, the new latency time (first conversion latency time) will be 2*52.22ms=104.44ms.
