ADS8557: Output is locked in EMC test.

Hi Ryu,

Can you give a little more detail on what you mean by the output is 'locked in place'?  If you keep getting the same conversion results over and over, it6 could be that you need to toggle the RESET pin.  Surges on the input can cause an ADC (any ADC, not specifically the ADS8557) to latch up.  Can you share a schematic as well?

Locked in place means that the output value latches up.
Can you tell me the mechanism of latch-up since there was no mention of latch-up in the material you gave me?

That would potentially be caused by your ESD pulse.
