ADS7263: Simultaneous Sampling ADC

Part Number: ADS7263

Tool/software:

Dear team,

My customer want to find suitable device to satisfy below condition.

I think ADS7263 is good option but the customer want to 4 ch ADC without input MUX. Is there any device to satisfy below condition?

- Min 14 bit resolution.

- 4ch differential input

- SPI interface

- temp -40 ~ 125

-  Min 1Msps sample rate

Please let me know your opinion.

Thank you.

  • Hello Dino,

    1. Do you know the reason why the customer does not want the input mux? or what the type of end product this will be?
    2. Does the customer only need 4 channels or are they planning to use more than 1 device to create more channels?
      1. If they only need 4 channels total, would they be ok with using 2x 2-Channel devices instead?
      2. Or having more than 4 channels, like an 8 or 16 channel device be acceptable?

As far as devices that meet those standards the ADS7263 is one of the better options, but it is muxed.

Without an input mux, the next best solution would be 2x 2-channel devices, in that case my suggestions would be the ADS7851 or ADS7854

With some upgrades, other 2-channel options with higher sampling speeds (3MSPS) and similar or better resolutions (14-bit/16-bit respectively): the ADS9234R or ADS9244R.

With even more upgrades and if more than 4 channels is acceptable, there is a new device coming out, the ADS9813. This device is an 18-bit, 8-channel device, 2MSPS/ch, with an integrated AFE.

    Best regards,

    Yolanda
