DAC38RF84: Operation below minimum recommended operating supply voltages

Typically linearity is the first to go. Meaning your spurious or SFDR will be worse due to the limited headroom on the power supply.

Can you please provide the estimated consumption (min, nominal, max) for the following DAC38RF84 configuration:

LMFS: 8212

 PLL on

8x Interpolation

finput 800 MHz

fVCO 6400 MHz

fNCO 1500 MHz

Also for datasheet Mode 11

By which I mean the estimated supply voltage current consumptions.

Are these nom or max values and what would be the likely effect with the PLL on?

We based our current consumption assumptions on the DAC38RF84IAAV datasheets typ figures for MODE 8: 1 TX, 1 IQ/slice, LMFS = 4211, PLL on, 6xInterpolation, fINPUT = 983.04 MSPS, fDAC = 5898.24MSPS, NCO1 = 2.14 GHz, CLKTX Disabled configuration.  Are these numbers likely to be more typical of the current consumption for our configuration or are the numbers you sent likely to be more typical.  My main concern is VDDDIG = 1200mA as opposed to 848mA as we use a 1A capacitive feedthrough for EMI filtering on the PCB the rating of which we will be exceeding if the VDDDIG supply current is 1200mA.

What was the RFDAC configuration used for the closest supply current you provided?
