ADS1235-Q1: ADS1235QWRHMRQ1

Part Number: ADS1235-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1235

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

we are using 24-bit ADC - ADS1235QWRHMRQ1.

for our requirement FIR filter cut off frequencies are: 150, 80, 40, 20, 10, 5, 2.5 Hz, but in our current selected ADC -- FIR filter support is upto 20SPS.

Please suggest if we have same family ADC that supports FIR filter upto 150SPS or is there a way to achieve with current ADC-ADS1235QWRHMRQ1.

In case if we have to go for Digital filtering -- do you have algorithms to support this requirement.

regards,

Santosh

  • Hi Santosh Sirsi,

The "FIR" filter in the ADS1235 is a special filter that rejects both 50 and 60 Hz frequencies, that is it's only purpose

The rest of the SINC filters are also FIR filters, we just don't call them that. So any data rate setting you choose in the ADS1235 uses an FIR filter, including those data rates >20 SPS
