ADS7828: No reset pin, planning to pull the VCC power to ground momentarily in case of I2C latchup. Is this a worry?

If you are still driving the SCL (and perhaps SDA) while you pull Vcc 'momentarily' - you would indeed start to back-drive/power through the ESD cells.  Do you have the ability to toggle SCL to try and release the I2C bus?

Unfortunately no, the I2C lines are pulled up to the power rail. But maybe it is better if I pull it up to the same power rail as the device? That way it is not driving?

There is only one power pin (p16, +Vdd) on the ADS7828, if that power source is the same as the pullups to SDA and SCL, you should be good.

Assuming you are not still driving the analog inputs...

That makes sense. Or if the I2C device is configured as a GPIO then we pull power, that should be fine as well I assume?

Hey Tom, got it. Have you had experience with GPin signals but having a 10k/100kΩ resistor in series to limit the current when the power is reset?
