Customer is trying to design ADS1118 as ADC for EIS application that measures the impedance between the fuel-cell stacks. So they need the application note for EIS. Please share it with me.

Hi Jeffrey,

I checked with the BMS team, but they are also not aware of such an application note.
Can you share the requirements for the EIS measurement? Maybe we can try to come up with a solution then.

Also, do you know what solution they use for the cell and pack monitoring? We see a lot of customers using discrete ADCs for fuel cells right now.

Hi Jeffery,

You need simultaneous sampling ADC for impedance measurement. You can refer to Section 2.3.2.3.7 Data Acquisition and Processing in the LCR meter reference design for mathematical explanation on how to resolve phase and amplitude information.
