TLV5624: Questions about absolute maximum ratings

Part Number: TLV5624

Tool/software:

Hello,
This is Kwonjoon Lee from South Korea.

I would like to ask about the absolute maximum ratings of TLV5624.

(Detailed Questions)

1. What is a voltage range of OUT pin? (in terms of the absolute maximum ratings)
2. Is there an internal clamp diode between VDD and OUT?
3. In the case that there is an internal clamp diode between VDD and OUT,
What is a maximum allowable current through the clamp diode?
What is a maximum allowable current of OUT pin?
4. In the case that VDD = 0V, and there is a current flowing into OUT pin
(through a resistor between OUT and an another low-impedance node),
What is a maximum allowable current of OUT pin?

Best regards,
Kwonjoon Lee

  • Hi Kwonjoon,

    1. Max OUT voltage range is -0.3V to VDD + 0.3 V

    2. There is a clamp diode.

3/4. We do not spec a current through the diode. Limit the current on the output to reduce the risk of damage, but the voltage ratings should not be violated. We don't guarantee performance for violating the max voltage ratings. Max load current is 10mA while maintaining output regulation, limit the current (short circuit current) to 20mA.
