ADS1292: Inquiry Regarding Noise Suppression and Grounding in ECG Device Design Using ADS1292

Part Number: ADS1292

Tool/software:

I am currently designing an ECG device utilizing the ADS1292, and I have the following two questions:

  1. For improved noise suppression, I plan to connect the AGND to GND using a 1-ohm ferrite bead, instead of a direct connection. Would this approach effectively improve the noise suppression in the system?

  2. I am using a shielded ECG cable and intend to connect the shield to ground. Should I connect it to AGND or DGND? Are there any reference design guides or application notes you could recommend regarding grounding practices in ECG designs?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Aupu
