ADC10D1500: Issue in IF Sampling by ADC

Hi TI Expert Team,

I have a custom board interfacing ADC10D1500 with FPGA. I am observing an issue related to IF sampling by ADC. The captured ADC data in FPGA is not changing with the IF input to ADC.

The ADC is configured in Non-ECM & Non-DES Mode.

I have enabled TPM and verified the Test Pattern in FPGA. The Test Pattern matches with Table 13 of datasheet.

Requesting for insight on probable cause of this problem.

Hi Santanu,

Please send us some FFT screen shots so we can further diagnose the issue.

Was the FPGA FW newly created? Or has this been tested before?

Also, what sampling rate and analog input frequencies are being used in your test setup?

Hi Rob,

The sampling frequency is 1.35 GHz. Analog Input Frequency used in Test Setup is 900 MHz @ -20 dBm.

Yes, the FPGA FW is newly created.

Hi Santanu,

I think it might be best to show me how you are connecting the analog input.

I don't see a signal at all.

Also, CH1 looks like a timing issue, as the noise floor is not correct, its too high.

Is there any dependency of Analog input w.r.t Vcmo and Vbg pin on the ADC ?
