You can try to manually install the driver located at the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\ADS1285 EVM\PHI Driver
Also, make sure the USB cable is connected directly to a USB port on your PC and not through an additional hub. This normally does not cause connection issues, but occasionally can result in a failed connection.
What version of Windows are you using? You may need elevated ADMIN rights to install these drivers depending on your workstation setup. Also, anti-virus software may prevent the drivers from installing correctly. Also, you may want to try installing on a different workstation, or a personal PC versus a company managed PC, to see if this helps.
