DAC81404: Question about continuous SPI communication on a single device

Hi,

Can I send keep the SYNC pin low and send 24 × N long data continuously? or, as page 31 of the datasheet said, only the first 24 bits will be used.

I am trying to achieve 500 kHz to 1MHz update rate on all 4 channels.

    Hi Andy,

    Can I send keep the SYNC pin low and send 24 × N long data continuously? - this is not useful here as only 24 bits will be used in a single frame. 

    I am guessing you want to update the all the channels at the same time with same VOUT. If that's the case, you can use the broadcast mode of the DAC VOUT update.
    Still you can't update the DAC output at 500 - 1000 kHz as you need 4us min wait time before sending a new data for output update.
