DAC2900: Testing DAC2900

I would like to simulate DAC2900 & its output current to voltage interface circuit. Does a macro-model of DAC2900 exist ?

If not what would be the best way to verify the correctness of my design ? Thanks a lot.

Hi Subhajit,

Unfortunately, there are not DAC models. This is a very old part.

Simply use a current source in your simulation with the appropriate amount you plan to use for your output fullscale.

Thanks. Yes I plan to do this. Most high speed DACs appear to have current outputs that require a maximum compliance output voltage.

My application requires a DAC and ADC both sampling at least at 50 MSPS. I had chosen DAC2900 and AD3910 (both dual channel and parallel CMOS interface). In case you recommend better/more-recent parts that would be helpful.

Hi Subhajit,

These devices are fine, we just don't have marco-models based on any ADC and/or DAC.
