Hi Team,

I was going through the DAC5689 IC, it suits all my design requirements other than CMOS interface.

For my requirement, i need SPI or LVDS DAC IC similar to DAC5689.

My requirements are

>2 channel DAC and

>4 or 8 channel DAC ( both 2 and 4 or 8 channel required )

>16 bit resolution

>33MSPS speed

>SPI or LVDS interface

>Need SYNC in pin for clock synchronization between the  board ADC, DACs and FPGA as in DAC5689

Please suggest the DAC ICs for my requirement

    Hello Abhishek,

    As I had replied earlier in the DAC3283 inquiry, please draw a block diagram and detailed description of your definition for clock synchronization. Again, the SYNC pin only synchronize the clock divider and FIFO pointers. It does not synchronize external clock circuitries.

    Hi Kang,

    My requirement is that all the ADC and DAC IC get an input signal from FPGA to have synchronization between all the DAC and ADCs in the board.

    In board I'm planning 3 ADCs and 10 DACs for my application.

    The SYNC IN signal is coming from the FPGA is fed to the ADCs and DACs as input signal.

    The signal from the FPGA may be a single SYNC IN signal for all the ADCs and DACs or  we use different sync signals like SYNC IN1, SYNC IN2,..... will be send to each of the ADCs and DACs IC. The function of the synchronization is this, the pin name can be SYNC in or LDAC etc. I want the signal coming from FPGA need to be communicated with ADCs and DACs in the board.

    This is the must requirement for DAC.

    Hi Abhishek,

    The DAC5689 can support the sync function like above with limitation highlighted in the datasheet (snippet above). Please refer to datasheet for details.
