We purchased ADS127L18EVM-PDK board and paln to perform a bench experment with an external pulse light souce signal detection. Question: Is ADS127L18 ADC conversion capable of being sync up with an external clock source by connecting the light pulse clock with the "START" pin of the ADC for the pulse light signal data acqusition?

Hello Jimmy,
The ADS127L18EVM was not designed to use an external 'trigger' event to start data acquisition. It may be possible to do this with the EVM, but you would need to modify the EVM board to isolate the START signal from the PHI (data acquisition board) by removing R38, and soldering a jumper wire to the START pin.
If you were able to get this to work, you would not be able to capture any data before the START edge, and you would not have any data available until the end of the latency time, which depends on the filter settings used.
