ADC3562: Regarding the E-fuse loading of the ADC3562

This is a question regarding the E-fuse loading of the ADC3562. In the thread "ADC3562: Propagation delay: the sampling clock falling edge to DCLK rising edge," Luke Allen-san commented, "0x13 0x1 //Efuse reload, no need to write 0x0 when done," indicating that there is no need to write 0x00. However, Table 8-8, STEP 2 on page 48 of the datasheet states that after waiting 1ms, 0x00 should be written to 0x13. There is a discrepancy between the datasheet and this comment. Which is correct regarding the necessity of writing 0x00 to the E-fuse?

Thank you for your reply. Upon checking with the actual device, it seems that ADC3664 is not automatically cleared. When reading register 0x13, I see a 1. Although you mentioned that there is no need to write 0 to the E-fuse bit, is there any risk of causing malfunction by writing 0 to 0x13 as a precaution?

Hi,

Could you please reply to a question I asked two days ago? You said that it is not necessary to write 0, but will writing 0 to 0x13 itself cause no problems with normal operation? I think most people are writing 0 as specified in the current datasheet.

Hello,

As Rob mentioned above, my statement in the original post is correct. Register 0x13 will self clear after the Efuse reload sequence has completed. We are updating the datasheet to have a more detailed description of the functionality of the Efuse. That being said, writing the Efuse back to 0 after waiting 1ms will also work. This will not damage the part in any way, and the part will still function normally.
