Part Number: ADS1148
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS114S06, ADS1248, , ADS124S06
The project I am working on requires us to determine if there is non-volitale memory (NVM) in any part we are using. At one point, we had picked another company's ADC, and despite the datasheet not mentioning any such thing, it turns out it DID, in fact, have some kind of NVM inside.
So I am doing my due diligence with this part family from TI: ADS1148 / ADS1248, and ADS114S06 / ADS124S06. These datasheets do not indicate any such thing, but our experience shows that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't any there. For example, I could imagine NVM being used for internal (non-user-accessible) factory calibration values, or even default register settings. Can you please check with the designers to verify whether there is any undocumented NVM in any of these parts?
Thanks!
