ADC/DAC EVM compatibility with 5-6k interface board

Hi,

I'm working to setup a test bench with some EVMs 6418EVM, which should be compatible with 5-6k interface board.
I need help for some informations about ADC/DAC EVM compatibility because sometimes is it not quite clear.
I have a couple basic questions:

- On a single 5-6K interface board (connected to 418 EVM) can I install 2 analog EVMs for serial interface like 1 x ADS8331EVM + 1 x DAC8331EVM (connected to McBSP 0 and McBSP 1 of the DSP) or I have limitations?
- Are ADS8361EVM and ADS8331EVM compatible with 5-6k interface board? Their connector seems to be the same apart from power supply, but this is not stated clearly. Or are they partially compatible?

Hi Alberto,

Welcome to the forum! Yes, both the ADS8361EVM and the ADS8331EVM are compatible with the 5-6K Interface Card. The interface card breaks out two McBSP ports for use with the two serial sites on the board. We provide a jumper option to use digital power through the 80-pin daughter-card connectors, but you will have to supply your own analog power to the stack-up via the screw terminals on the 5-6K Interface card.
