DAC5662 EVM

Hi,

Considering the transformer output on EVM and 40Hz of pretty low clock speed, It'd be difficult to detect this signal. Would you try sinuous single-tone signal at higher frequency?

For checking, I entered all bit '0' exept one bit that is '1' (MSB), clock of 1MHz. Do you think that entering this input as a check is wrong?

Hi,

Are you going to measure DAC output with oscilloscope? The easiest way to check the functionality of DAC EVM is to transmit single-tone pattern and measure it through oscilloscope. The measured single tone should be the same one as transmitted frequency and it should be clean even with infinite persistence mode of oscilloscope.

After that, you can proceed to the next step you have in mind, I think.

Yes I am, I tried to do what you said with no success.

I also tried to enter sinle bit as '1' and all other '0', clock of 1MHz to WRT1 and the output with oscilloscope.

I couldnt see nothing on the output.

What is wrong there?

Basically, CLK_1, CLK_2, WRT_1 and WRT_2 are tied together in DAC5662EVM. Would you confirm your EVM has SMA input port only for WRT_1(J3)? Otherwise, you might have to provide same clock with CLK_1.

Would you increase clock amplitude from signal generator up to 18 ~ 20dBm for WRT_1? I guess you are also providing the same clock with CMOS IN of TSW3100. Please let me know if this is correct. Thanks.

Hi KW,

I entered a Clock from Signal Generator with high amplitude(I.e 20dBm). I dont use the TSW3100, I have entered a constant Data In ('1' at MSB and '0' at all other bits).
